In August 2021, the Samara region will host the "X-Waters Samara" swim at 181 km along the Volga. I will take part in this event in order, with the support of Rusfond, to attract attention and help to those who need it so much. In preparation for the "X-Waters Samara" from November 9 to December 9, 2020, with the support of my team and all concerned swimmers and triathletes, we will swim 1400 km. After all, this is exactly how much separates the capital of our Motherland from the city of Semferopol, where Nikita Zatsarenny lives. Nikita Zatsarenniy is 9 years old, he has type 1 diabetes mellitus, he needs an insulin pump and supplies for it for a year. Nikita fell ill with diabetes 2 years ago. Since then, his life and health have been completely dependent on blood sugar control. The boy's family managed to rebuild their lifestyle taking into account the illness. They changed their diet, learned to count bread units and insulin doses. On the recommendation of a doctor, Nikita began training in the pool. Swimming is good for children with diabetes. Two hour workouts a week, in which Nikita swims 500 meters, should help the boy normalize his blood sugar. In a year Nikita learned to swim with crawl, breaststroke and backstroke. But his efforts and the efforts of his parents still do not save him from surges in sugar. Nikita needs to switch to pump insulin therapy. But the pump model that suits him is not paid from the budget. The cost of the pump and consumables for the year is 212,934 rubles, the boy's parents do not have the opportunity to purchase it themselves. They really need our help!
